The Paraphrase

To write a paraphrase is to re-write a passage or a quptation in your own words. The parapharase must be written in different words than the original passage. The parapharase is written to make the meaning of the original pice of writing very clear. The paraphrase is often used with the study of Shakespearian drama to clarify and to explain the meaning of passages, quptations and speeches.

Paraphrasing means to give fuller details to make the meaning of the original passage clear. No new or different ideas may be introduced. All facts, thoughts or ideas of the original passage must not be changed in meaning. However, they must be expanded on and expressed and explained in your own words. Any condensed or subtle ideas in the original must be made very clear.

Do a jot-not, pre-writing exercise first. this is very important.

Paraphrase must have more than 6 sentenses.
